Description
This is my tribute to a legendary Soviet band “Aliance” (Альянс) and their major hit song “At Dawn” (На заре).
I played all the instrumental parts, programmed the drum part and also performed vocals. All the synth parts were played in one take using my Yamaha MX61 and Novation Impulse 61 as a second manual connected via MIDI; also I used my AKAI MPX8 Sample Player to play some synth parts which I couldn’t possibly play with only 2 hands available. They were pre-recorded using the MX61 as well.
Dedicated to Oleg Parastaev, the original author of the song and Aliance’s keyboardist. Rest in Peace and big thanks for such a beautiful and influential song.
