「好歌共賞」第24首「白牡丹」“White Peony”, 是台灣日治時代的一首台語流行歌曲。1936年出版，由陳秋霖作曲，陳達儒作詞。我們繼續練習轉調。這首「白牡丹」在降E大調反覆兩次，第三次轉升為E大調。「白牡丹」旋律好聽，以白色牡丹花比喻清純的少女，期待愛人的情懷。
“White Peony” is a Taiwanese folk tune that became popular during Japanese-rule years. It was composed by Qiulin Chen and published in 1936. The lyricist was Daru Chen. We are doing modulations again. “White Peony” starts in Eb major for twice before modulating to E major. White Peony’s melody is lovely. The lyrics use the pure white flowers to depict a young lady’s long for her love.
