Over the past 25 years, the Resolution 2 loudspeaker has earned an iconic status among music and audio aficionados around the world. One of Funktion-One's earliest product releases, the Res 2 has stood the test of time, with very few adaptations to the original design.
Full range, entirely horn loaded, point source loudspeaker technology that raised the standard in 1998 and continues to do so, albeit more commonly with additional sub bass to meet today's requirement for more complete low end. Space Ibiza, Lost Beach Club Ecuador, Antik Costa Rica, Corsica Studios London; the list really does go on.
Mark Metcalf, owner/founder of Blue Box, installed the first six Res 2s and has continued to specify them over the years. We caught up with Mark at Ridge Farm, where he first met Funktion-One founder Tony Andrews in the mid-70s, to chat about the Res 2 and his preference for Funktion-One loudspeakers.
