Description

“Sahar” meaning “dawn” in English is the first track of my debut album” A Thousand Butterflies”, out 22 july 2022 on 30M Records.

It is inspired by the mode of dawn. This mode initially comes from the Kermanshah region in Iran. It used to be played by Sorna (Persian wind instrument) to wake people up.

I believe that Music and culture travel in time and place. “Sahar” is no exception and has gone a thousand paths up until today. In this piece, I have looked at this ancient mode with a more personal vision, giving it a contemporary sound which is played by Cello.

To shoot this video, woken up by dawn, we travelled within the purest regions of my motherland Iran, having passed through the mountains, deserts, and plains to create the story of this journey through images.
