The Amis Kakeng Musical group plays traditional music of the Amis, a tribe of Aboriginal people from the east coast of Taiwan, using bamboo instruments, at the Amis Folk Centre, north of Doulan. Taiwan’s original Austronesian Aboriginal population is related to those in the Philippines and the people of Polynesia, who may well have originated here.
