Description

Benediction was formed in February 1989 by Paul Adams on bass, Peter Rew and Darren Brookes on guitars, and Mark Greenway as vocalists. With the demo "The Dreams You Dread," released in the same year, they attracted the attention of Nuclear Blast Records, with whom they immediately signed a contract. Their first album, "Subconscious Terror," was released in 1990, after the departure of Barney, who joined Napalm Death. The debut album featured a new vocalist, Dave Ingram. Shortly after, the band went on tour with Bolt Thrower and Nocturnus.
