Discovered Agustin Pereyra Lucena's music a few years ago and been trying to work out this right hand technique ever since (inconveniently cut most of my right hand out of the video by filming this in portrait, oops...). I'm still learning how to play this style of guitar by ear from the records but it sounds like he is often kind of scratching 16ths between each down beat rather than alternating on the bass note so that the melody notes on top can ring. This is more obvious listening to the recording on the La Rana album than my attempt. Still can't control my face while I play.
