I’ve always been fascinated, in the worst sense, by the Vietnam War. And I’ve always ached for the soldiers and the families that suffered from its bombs, guns, politics, emotional aftermath, and, unfathomably, from the ridicule and protests hurled at them by their own nation upon return from that hell. I don’t understand that war, but I respect and empathize with the people that suffered through it. And those who still suffer today…somewhere “above the lost and below the found.”
