"Happiness at Sunrise" is originally a popular folk song from Sichuan province, China. The composer Bao Yuankai has rearranged this piece by combining the jubilant tone of the original version and the magnificent charm of western symphonic music, thus making the new version of this piece a successful example of the adaptation of Chinese folk songs to symphonic music.
