I am kicking off Women's History Month and International Women's day with a poem dedicated to Poet Extraordinaire, Jessica Care Moore. It was her, that introduced me, to Spoken Word Poetry when she appeared on Showtime at the Apollo amateur night in 1995, winning five consecutive times. When I saw her I was blown away by her stage presence and captivated by the art form. This poem gives you a just a peak about the Amazing woman that she is.
