Ever wanted to sing Wet Leg's "Chaise Longue" to the tune of The Runaways' "Cherry Bomb"? Now's your chance! (I figured that these two tunes of young women declaring their right to be as horny as they wanna be with whoever they wanna be horny with might lose something in translation when sung by a straight cis guy, hence the karaoke treatment.)

This started off as goofery, but it also seems apropos, if only accidentally. The Runaways claimed their sexuality rebelliously in 1976 so that Wet Leg could claim theirs casually and playfully in 2021. In a world where there are forces intent on rolling back women's rights and bodily autonomy, it seems to make sense to re-frame Wet Leg's song as a rebellious anthem.
