The 2nd of his 4 Australian chart hits, 'Runaround Sue' kept the BeachBoy-esque feel of 'Surfin USA' and this is probably my favourite of his recordings. The Dion cover reached #13 in America, and #8 in Australia. 1978 would see the tail end of his debut hit, followed by 'Runaround Sue', 'Put your head on my shoulder' and his foray into disco 'I was made for dancing'. Despite releasing other singles and albums, he was heard no more in our neck of the woods, although notoriety has kept his name in pop culture for all the wrong reasons. Luckily the music speaks for itself. Enjoy it!
