* I've revised the earlier video to add a few more photos after request from friend's to add on their loved ones.*
A few weeks ago, someone I knew passed away and he was well prepared for his own passing, even to the minute details. One of the requests he had was for song called "MISS ME BUT LET ME GO" which was based on a poem by Robyn Rancman (I believe it to be so although there are reports that say it was originally from 19th century Victorian poet Christina Rossetti) . I'm not sure which version of the song was played for the funeral (there are 2 versions out there, as far as I know...maybe even more.) It reminded me of this poem which I first chanced upon many years ago, when I was seeking comfort dealing with my beloved father's passing.
I thought it would be nice if I could compose something using the same poem, that would send a message of comfort those who are grieving a loved one, hence I decided to record this at home during the restricted lockdown that was enforced in my home town. I also thought it would be apt to release the song with a memorial video clip of people who were important in my life and have passed on. I was also fortunate to have photos contributed by family and friends , who wanted to include those photos of their loved ones who have passed on, in the video. May their souls rest in peace and may all their family and friends be comforted, by the grace of God.
When I come to the end of the road

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the Master's plan

And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
