Upload # ~ HQ from UK 45 pictured ~~ Keith Relf ex-Yardbirds got a small hit with the Doomy Folk 'Mr Zero' if this follow-up is highly obscure & takes a few plays to understand it's greatness. The rumours that the 'Horns' intro mix with vocal not mixed down is the first released version is UNTRUE as the USA promos all have this version. Odd mix on this with some choppy edits suggests it was a bit too "far out" for as early as Nov 1966 & sales were minimal so not an easy one to find. B side is "Blue Sands" a throwaway anon session group that has no Relf involvement with a rather boring Blues instrumental, another sign this 45 was issued with some worry of the content. ~~ Copyright info says "Shapes in My Mind (Version 1) - Keith Relf" proving this was the 1966 released version, other versions, mixes & overdubs are released years later. UK Promo & Stock copy has the same version.
