Howdy fam love you and hope you're big time blessed today 💕 I know you did a reaction to this song a couple years ago but you were cheated because that TV special was not a good experience for the band at all and the resulting live performance was terrible. The management insisted focus squash the song down to a limit of 5 minutes and it made them so angry that they basically gave them a huge middle finger by making a complete mockery of the situation and sadly the song itself. So let's fix that for everyone and set the record straight. When this came out in 1970 it was so far beyond everything else on the radio that it expanded our conscience and made us realize WOW there's a whole big beautiful world of possibilities from other countries and what they have to offer and explore. Hocus pocus is a perfect name for this crazy jam because it really was absolutely magical badass and powerful and one of a kind. The talent in that band is jaw dropping and the fact that they inject so much joy comedy and childlike playfulness and silliness into the song just adds another layer of "WOW I love this to pieces" listening experience. To this day it's still one of my favorite songs to crank up to 11. Focus only made a few good records and then kinda faded into oblivion but they made their mark on world history and hocus pocus is the shining crown jewel of what this killer amazing swiss rock and roll band gifted us with.
