Rostyslav Demchyshyn,was born in 1948,Lviv(Ukraine)-composer,conductor member of composers community in Ukraine,honored culture worker of Ukraine.
Began to learn to play on the piano at the age of five. He studied at the Ukrainian Music Conservatory named for Mykola Lvsenko in Lviv,
Ukraine as a conductor symphonist and a composer, than worked as a conductor in Opera Theater and Ballet in Lviv.
In addition, he created and headed the Galitski Symphony Orchestra,This Orchestra performed music Tschaikovsky,Rachmaninov,Rossini,Lenkovallo,
Lysenko,Mendelssohn,Beethoven,Skoryk and other composers.
In 1990 Demchyshyn with This Orchestra make debut in that time he make TV broadcasting
"Classic Show"where was performed his Symphonic poem"My Happy Day".
Importent that Demchyshyn and Galitzki Symphony Orchestra in the same year 1990 the first time of ukrainian history
has performed Ukrainian National Hymn wich partition (becouse of suddenly polittical changes)
Demchyshyn wrote in one night.But unfortunatly,In 1992 Becouse of finansial and economy trobles in the country,
Orchestra was dismisses,
in that time Demchyshyn start to find his new possibility as musician,he start to compose,he intrested about Retro,Nostalgy Music.
He compose and the retro music and founded with his wife (Olexandra Demchyshyn/Lesia Borovets)who sing soprano part of Demchyshyns music)and headed ensemble "Galitzka Revia",
he earned for life with making lot of arrange,transcripzions for differend kind of music for differend kind of people,in this time he compose Vokal- instrumental poem on the Ukrainian famos poet Wasyl Tychyna "The forests Showers",and compose lot of songs for ukrainan emigranten inteligenzia who in 40 years run away to USA,Canada from represive Soviet time, but this peple still have nostalgy but they cant back to Ukraine :"Sokolyky",Fly nostalgy song betwen ocean in far away","About magic of carpatians mountains" and others.Also he compose lot of Hymns,also some not usualy Hymns as "Hymn for the best puppil and terrible puppil","Traur Hymn for animals"...Also he organizate vokal ensemble like "Orfei",he wrote for this ensemble compositions,make lot of arrange and simply(as he is very naive human) give them the scores of his music,this ensemble amounted Demchyshyn, run away withaud payd,and till now they performed his music in foreign countrys...
During the celebration of the tenth anniversary of independence of Ukraine, Rostyslav Demchyshyn compose musical poem wich has performed in Kiev National Palace"Ukraine Is, Ukraine Will Be" on the words of Zoya Rujyn.After premiere of this poem this piece getting famos in Ukraine...
From 2001 to 2003 he, together with his wife live and work in USA,They perform program"From calssic to Jazz",acshualy Demchyshyn on the piano never use the score not only in jazz , he imrovisate from his head every piece, together with soprano, his wife, they perform different kind of music from baroque,between classical opera,medley movie music till Jazz with his own improvisations,they hat a succes in the USA but in 2003 Demchyshyns terrible accident in USA(reabilitation last 3 mounth in hospital)forced them to comeback to the Ukraine and after that he start to compose more serios...He interested on history of Ukraine he compose music on poem of famos ukrainan writer Taras Shevchenko.His kantata "Berestechko"for solist, orchestra and choras,"I was past 13"for choras acapella,"Forgive me God"short church pice for choras acapella has performed in Kiev National Philharmony hall.
Demchyshyn work with such Orchestra as:"Virtuose of Lviv"chamber Orchestra,Lviv Opera Orchestra and Leopolis Chamber Orchestra,also he work and compose for such choras as "Capela Dudaryk","Lviv chamber Choras"...
In 2007 Demchyshyn get the member of composers community in Ukraine...
One year later in 2008 has been announced by the President Yushchenko as the year of commemoration of famine victims. In this regard composer Rostyslav Demchyshyn in co-authorship with the poet Vasyl Vasylashko have created vocal-symphonic ballade "Holodomor" /Famine/ (April), The first performance by Leopolis Chamber Orchestra and the duet of soloists Lesya Borovets, the Honorary Artist of Ukraine and Yuriy Trytsetskyy, the artist of Lviv National Opera, took place before the professors and students of the Institute of Decorative-Applied Arts and Design named after M.Boychuk in Kviv,then in Lviv Philharmony hall, National Philharmony hall in Kiev.Later Demchyshyn composed Symphony in 3 movements of "Holodomor"/Famine and including the balade as last movement,this Symphony completly was not yet performed...In 2009 he get the name "Honored culture worker of Ukraine"...In same Year composed "Japanese Suite" for clarinet and strings later overture to the Opera "Ivan Mazepa"...
