Where do I start? This is one of the most painful to sing songs I've ever covered. Do you have someone - or someones - in your life that you've had to let go of? Whether family members, friends, or even that character in a story who gave you strength to keep trying, but died in the end?

How do we recover from what we've lost? How do we keep seeing the stars when everything seems to have gone completely black? To be honest, I don't know how to answer these questions, so I'm not going to try. If you're living in the night right now and you don't know how to want to keep trying - remember how rare and beautiful a thing it is to exist. We EXIST. With the stars. With the pain. With the rain. With the sunlight - or perhaps just the memory of it. We exist, and our existence is no less amazing than the galaxies, and no more powerful than a single drop of rain.

Even when it seems like everything else is falling apart, you can still exist. More, you can exist so much that you make the existence of others feel even more alive.

I don't have the answers to pain, or grief, or loss. But I do have the answer to life: it's inside you.
