Description
Hey scenesters. Welcome to my weird little proto-grunge channel!
Skin Yard were one of the original, weird, proto-grunge outfits that made up the insanely diverse Seattle music scene.
They had drummer and bassist drama. Future famous Matt Cameron was their first stickman. Daniel House (C/Z Records) wrote the bass parts for 1000 Smiling Knuckles but didn't want to tour, so they enlisted Barrett Martin's (Screaming Trees, Mad Season, Tuatara, etc.) old rhythm associate from The Thin Men, Pat Pedersen to play the cuts live.
More to come from Skin Yard, and many others, THROW A SHOUT in the comment section if there's a Seattle Sound you're hoping to see covered on this Seattle-centric channel!
Of course, we'll stretch to Boise for some Tree People, Built to Spill or Black Happy and always south to PDX for some Love on Ice or Everclear!
Thanks for rocking by, and remember to share this clip with your hesher friends!
