Description
Spring Festival Overture is based on renowned composer Li Huanzhi’s experience in Yan'an, Shaanxi province, in the 1950s. The piece adopts the melody and rhythm of Yangge (a form of Chinese folk dance) and the elements of northern Shaanxi folk songs. With the traditional Spring Festival as its theme, the music reflects people's happiness, solidarity and celebrations in Yan'an.
