The year is 2000 and Ghostface Killah is 4 years removed from releasing his debut album “Ironman” which was released in October of 1996. That album would peak at number two on the Billboard 200 chart selling 156,000 copies in its first week.

Before Supreme Clientele, Ghost would be going through a lot in his life including a near-death experience that led him to the country of Benin in Africa. This is where the early stages of Supreme Clientele were written and was the birth of what many consider to be one of the greatest rap albums of all time.
