Description
Taken from 2003 Anthology DVD Box Set and the 5.1 Mixes remixed for that set. For now the Front, Center, and Rear channels are as close as we can get to isolated stems. Hopefully down the line someone will be able to get those as there is so much to deconstruct from this song. With the 3 available channels, I sped them up to the same speed and pitch as the 1995 Mix along with adding some EQ to all 3 making them much clearer and louder. Right off the bat at 0:34 you can hear Paul's high harmony with John's vocal this was added I assume to widen the quality of the vocal. Something also interesting is at the 0:47 second mark. There is a deleted guitar lick I assume done by George popping out in the right channel (Clearer with headphones). Beginning at the bridge at 0:55, You will also be able to hear George's guitar on the off beats for the duration of the bridge. This was either heavily buried in the '96 mix or completely deleted. Also take note these are not in Giles Martin's 2015 Remix for the 1+ Box Set. Beginning at the next verse, Paul's high harmony seems to not be included. Also at 2:10 right before the solo, The vocal gets cut off due to this version I assume not having Paul's lead vocal miming John's. During the solo you will also be able to hear a descending acoustic guitar which was also buried in the '96 Mix. Finally, during the final bridge, you can hear a much for clearer "No need to be alone" harmony from Paul. This was important to add to the mix because I think Paul's vocal additions to this song are immaculate. I'm not forgetting George! His harmonies are also made clearer throughout the last Coda! I hope you all enjoy this mix! It took some time but in the end I think it sounds pretty good for what I was working with. Hopefully down the road I will be able to post more Beatles related content (Isolated Tracks, Remixes, Remasters, So on....) **Copyright Disclaimer under Section 107 of the copyright act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, scholarship, and research.
