I updated how I go through a song. Previously, discussing each part of the song (chorus, verse, etc) required listening to 3 separate things
- play the relevant song part
- (mention the instrumental part of interest)
- solo the instrumental part of interest,
- (discuss the instrumental part of interest)
- fade the instrumental into the relevant song part
- (explain the next relevant song part)

Now, I updated the last part in that step to fade directly into the NEXT relevant song part. I think the video glides along since I don’t need to introduce each song part (“Next is the chorus…”) and I can retroactively talk about it (“This is the chorus which has this synth…”).

There is an issue with this format. The next relevant song part must be directly preceded by a song part with the current instrument. Basically, I’m forced to look at each part of the song, unable to skip over a pre-chorus without bringing back the clunky explanation I left behind. I also got a new mic and a real audio interface although you can’t really tell the difference
