I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to listen to it because I am a huge fan of Mitchell Tenpenny (@m10penny) (as can be seen in some of the content that I post and remix, etc....) so when he announced that he had a new track with this band, "The Strike", I had to go listen to it (and them) right away. WOW am I glad I did. I was hooked on this song in the first 10-15 seconds because MUSIC just does that to you sometimes (and Mitchell hadn't even come in yet). So now I am a fan of THE STRIKE as well.....so good.

Okay so back to why this exists.......
I knew I wanted to do something to this song immediately because that is what I do...if I love a song - I work on something with it....add something or remix it or feature it in an upcoming DJ mix or whatever. As a DJ my whole drive for doing this is to try and expose songs to even more people in whatever possible way. AND almost instantaneously I came up with THE IDEA.

I messaged my longtime friend, Jake (@773SouthsideJake ) and said,
"I need to find something of yours to Mashup with this new Mitchell Tenpenny song" (Sorry to The Strike cause I know you guys ARE the artist but it was because of Mitchell Tenpenny that I knew the song so that's just how I phrased it in text with Jake)
"So if you got anything that you have already done that has lyrics about driving around or whatnot....the song is about GETTING AWAY and GETTING LOST WITH THE PERSON YOU LOVE while they sit shotgun" and he replied with a link to his track, "Roll Out", (link below) and said, "This one is about exactly that."

AND THAT IS HOW WE GOT TO HERE.

I hope that you enjoy this. I do. The original. The M10 version. My version with Southside Jake's verse. Take whatever you can from it. I took the message as, As long as you have that person with you, your ride or die, your plus 1, your shotgun rider, or whatever you consider them, it doesn't matter where you're going or when you get there as long as they are by your side.
