However, some researchers believe that this snake still exists in the forests of the Amazon because the Amazon rainforest spans nearly 50,000 square kilometers. The Titanoboa was around 80 feet long and five feet wide. Its skeleton was discovered during excavation in Colombia in 2010, giving us an idea of how massive it truly was.
