The night after John Newton aka Johnny Nitro suddenly left the planet Tommy Castro stood in with Johnny's Doorslammers both past and present at their regular Sunday night gig (2/20/11) at SF's The Saloon so his friends, fans and family could do their grieving while celebrating Nitro's life in song and story. This clip shows Tommy kicking things off with "Calling San Francisco", a song he's spared with Johnny on many times, before an evening of rotating musicians playing to a packed house. It was the most fun I've had being sad in a long time. On stage for this one was Tommy Castro (guitar/vocals), Shad Harris (keytar), Tony Perez (sax), Michael Peloquin (sax), Joe Lococo (guitar), Rick Sankey (drums), and Burton Winn (bass).
