Description
Organist Kurt Grosse (1890-1936) plays ‘Was Gott tut das ist wohlgetan’ on an unknown church organ.
78 Rpm Polydor 22030, cat. no. B 47058 (matrix 1905 BK V), from 1929.
As far as I know, Grosse was organist in Berlin in the Garnisonskirche (1903-1910), Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche (1910-1917) and the Berliner Dom (1917-1931).
If it’s recorded in the Dom from Berlin (before the Second World War), there were two Sauer organs in that church at the time!
