William and Versey Smith's 1927 recording of When that Great Ship Went Down was featrured on Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music. This is an edited version of that audio with the vocals dampened so that the percussion can be heard in an attempt to determine what Versey Smith might have been playing in this session.
